The fuser applies controlled heat and pressure to permanently bond toner to the page. Replacing a worn or damaged assembly can correct toner adhesion problems, repetitive image defects, wrinkled pages and paper jams occurring near the printer’s rear exit area.

Additional regional variants

The same printer platform was sold under several regional model numbers. The following may use this assembly when configured for duplex printing and 110–127V power:

Regional variants must be verified by matching the printer voltage, duplex configuration and part number printed on the original assembly before ordering.

Please verify before purchasing

This assembly is exclusively for compatible 110–127V duplex printers. A similar printer name or exterior appearance does not guarantee compatibility.

• Not compatible with 220–240V printers. Those versions typically use RM2-1673 or RM2-2504.
• Not compatible with simplex models such as M254nw, M255nw, M256nw, M278nw, M280nw, M282nw or M284nw.
• Not compatible with the M252, M274 or M277 series, which uses a different fuser family.
• Not compatible with the M454 or M479 series, despite their similar size and appearance.

Brand compatibility

Confirmed compatible brand: HP / Hewlett-Packard. No direct cross-brand replacement is represented for Canon, Xerox, Lexmark, Brother or Samsung devices. Visually similar Canon models use separate Canon-numbered assemblies and should not be assumed compatible.

Common signs of a worn fuser

These symptoms can also result from toner cartridges, paper, sensors or other printer components. Proper diagnosis is recommended before ordering.

Installation and safety

This is an internal service component rather than a standard user-replaceable supply. Professional installation is recommended.

• Turn the printer off and disconnect it from electrical power.
• Allow the existing fuser to cool for at least 30 minutes before handling.
• Do not touch or scratch the heating film or pressure-roller surfaces.
• Confirm every cable and connector is correctly seated and routed during installation.
• Never install a 110–127V assembly in a printer designed for 220–240V operation.

Condition note: This genuine OEM assembly is considered a “New Pull,” meaning it was removed from a new or exceptionally lightly used donor device rather than supplied in factory-sealed HP service packaging. Minor handling or installation marks may be present and do not affect normal operation.
