TPD has modified the solenoid’s felt pad using a more rigid material. This modification is intended to help prevent pad-related failure and support consistent operation of the pickup mechanism.

The Printer Depot has tested this pad modification over more than 500,000 printed pages. This testing relates to the modification, rather than the prior usage of the individual New Pull component supplied.

The SL1 solenoid controls engagement of the Tray 2 pickup roller’s gear and clutch mechanism. It is a replacement option for paper-feeding problems traced to a faulty Tray 2 pickup solenoid.
