The intermediate transfer belt plays a critical role in transferring the individual cyan, magenta, yellow and black toner images from the imaging system onto the printed page. A damaged, contaminated or worn transfer belt can result in noticeable print-quality defects.
When should the transfer belt be inspected?
Transfer belt problems can present themselves in several different ways. If your printer is experiencing persistent image-quality problems, inspection of the belt assembly may be appropriate.
