Check the cassette position before ordering This is the cassette pickup roller. “Tray 2” describes its position on many HP printers, but HP CP1213–CP1217 printers call their main cassette Tray 1. Canon tray names also vary by model and optional cassette configuration. This is a different part from the separation roller, multipurpose tray pickup roller, and document feeder roller.

What it does

The pickup roller draws a sheet from the cassette into the printer’s paper path. A worn or glazed roller can contribute to intermittent pickup or no-feed problems when the roller is the cause.

Part-number cross-reference

Later service catalogs may identify this cassette pickup position as RM1-8047-000 or RM1-8047-030. Those numbers are cross-referenced with RM1-4426 for the later models identified below.

Match the full model number and roller position.

“CP1515” and “CP1518” are often used as shorthand; check the suffix on your printer label, such as CP1515n or CP1518ni. The RM1-8047 rows are documented cross-fits: those printers’ parts catalogs may show RM1-8047 rather than RM1-4426.

Ready to confirm the fit?

Compare your printer’s complete model number and cassette pickup roller with the compatibility table above. This listing is for the RM1-4426 pickup roller position, not the adjacent separation roller.
