Does this printer require HP+ or an HP account?
No. Normal local and network printing, copying, and scanning do not require enrollment in HP+, an HP+ subscription, or an HP cloud account. Network features such as scan to email must still be configured for the customer’s environment.
Can it use both managed and retail HP cartridges?
This seller-configured unit is intended to accept the W9060MC through W9063MC managed family and the corresponding HP 508A/508X CF360–CF363 retail or contract families. Correct color, region, chip, and firmware compatibility remain necessary.
Can it use remanufactured or compatible toner?
Yes, when the cartridge is correctly manufactured for this engine family and includes a chip compatible with the printer’s region, settings, and firmware. Toner-level reporting can vary with third-party cartridges.
Why does it have more toner options than a typical M577?
The E57540 platform was designed for managed supplies, while this seller-configured unit can also accept the related 508-series cartridge family. A typical M577 configuration does not normally add the E57540 managed W906xMC family to its supply options.
Does the printer include toner?
No. All four toner cartridges are sold separately. The printer requires black, cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges before full-color operation.
Does the E57540dn include fax?
Fax is optional on the dn model. It requires the appropriate fax accessory, which is not included unless expressly shown in the listing.
Does it have built-in Wi-Fi?
No. Standard networking is through Gigabit Ethernet. Compatible HP wireless accessories may be added separately where supported.
Does it scan both sides in one pass?
