This is a genuine OEM HP component removed from a new, open-box, incomplete, unused, or donor printer.

Original HP service-part packaging may not be included. Minor handling or removal marks may be present and are considered normal for a New Pull service component.

Duplexer Cover

HP part RC3-2280-000CN is the exterior duplexer cover / duplex entrance cover used to close the duplexer opening when an automatic duplexing assembly is not installed.

The component is primarily an aesthetic and protective finishing cover. It closes the otherwise exposed duplexer entrance and gives the printer a complete exterior appearance.

Original Factory Application

Originally supplied with the M712n.

The HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 M712n — CF235A was the M712 configuration supplied without automatic duplexing as standard equipment.

RC3-2280-000CN occupies and finishes the duplexer entrance on this non-duplex configuration.

Why This Cover Is Frequently Missing

Duplexer installed.
Cover removed.

When an M712n is upgraded with an automatic duplexing assembly, the RC3-2280 cover must be removed from the duplexer entrance before the duplexer can be installed.

Because the cover is no longer required while the duplexer is installed, it is commonly discarded, misplaced, or separated from the original printer.

CF240A and CF235-67913 are provided for reference only. Neither duplexer assembly is included with this listing.

M725 Series

Optional service configuration.

HP M725-series printers normally ship with automatic duplexing hardware installed.

If you choose to disable and physically remove the duplexer, RC3-2280-000CN can be installed to close the exposed duplex entrance and provide a cleaner, finished exterior appearance.

This is a custom/service-use configuration rather than a standard factory M725 configuration. Removing the duplexer eliminates automatic two-sided printing capability.

Important

This cover does not provide duplex printing.

RC3-2280-000CN is an exterior plastic finishing component only. It contains no rollers, motors, sensors, electronics, gears, or duplex paper-path components.

If you need to add or restore automatic two-sided printing, you need the applicable duplexer assembly rather than this cover.
