Does this printer include toner?
No. Toner is sold separately under this listing. The North American W1A52A#BGJ model uses HP 58A standard-yield or HP 58X high-yield black toner cartridges.
Does the M404n print on both sides automatically?
No. The M404n supports manual two-sided printing only. Automatic duplex printing is available on other M404 configurations, including the M404dn and M404dw.
Does this printer have Wi-Fi?
No. The M404n is designed for wired Gigabit Ethernet or direct USB connectivity. It does not have built-in Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct.
Can phones and tablets print to it?
Mobile devices may print through supported services when the printer is connected by Ethernet to a compatible network and the mobile device is connected to that same network.
Can this printer scan, copy, or fax?
No. The HP LaserJet Pro M404n is a print-only monochrome laser printer.
What does dynamic security mean?
HP states that this printer is intended to work with cartridges containing a new or reused HP chip. Firmware updates may block cartridges that use non-HP chips. Confirm cartridge compatibility before purchasing toner.
Who provides the warranty?
The included 90-day warranty is provided by The Printer Depot. It is not an HP or manufacturer warranty.
