The HP 3WT89A transfer kit is designed for high-volume Color LaserJet Enterprise and Managed printers. Its primary function is to transfer the developed toner image from the imaging system onto the print media before the page enters the fusing process.
A worn transfer system can contribute to color registration problems, repeating defects, faded areas, transfer-related print quality issues, media handling problems and maintenance warnings. Replacing the transfer kit restores critical components within the paper and image-transfer path.

Common reasons for replacement
Transfer-system wear can contribute to a variety of print quality and paper-handling symptoms.
Installation & maintenance
Power the printer off and disconnect it from power before servicing the transfer system. Avoid touching the transfer belt surface directly, as fingerprints, scratches, contamination or physical damage may result in print-quality defects.
Once installation is complete, confirm the printer recognizes the replacement component and review the Supplies Status Page. If the Transfer Kit life does not reset as expected, use the reset procedure linked above.
