Installation Overview
An easy way to expand.
- Power off the printer and disconnect its power cable.
- Place the optional Tray 3 feeder on a stable, level surface.
- Carefully position the printer onto the feeder, aligning the attachment points according to HP's installation instructions.
- Secure the assembly as directed for your printer model.
- Load compatible paper and adjust the paper guides.
- Reconnect power and verify that the printer recognizes Tray 3.
- Configure the tray's paper size and type through the printer settings, and update the print driver's installed options if necessary.

Important compatibility information
Optional Tray 3 — D3Q23A / D3Q24-67066:
This is the additional 500-sheet feeder assembly designed for the compatible PageWide printers listed above.
Main Tray 2 — D3Q24-67036:
This is a different replacement component for the printer's existing primary paper cassette. It is not interchangeable with the optional Tray 3 feeder.
Optional Tray 4 — D3Q24-67067:
HP identifies a separate service part number for optional Tray 4. Verify your intended tray position before ordering.
Enterprise / Managed E-Series:
This feeder is not intended for HP PageWide Enterprise 556/586 or equivalent Managed E-series printers, which use a different paper-feeder accessory family.
